Oriented polyamide film
Optical density. A densitometer (instrument for measuring the degree of darkness of materials) is used to compare the intensity of light transmitted through an optical layer and the incident light.

Arrangement of molecules in the film fusion. The molecules are either arranged in relation to each other or not oriented (arranged randomly). Oriented material shrinks more than non-oriented material. See also "Stretching"
